*JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
The Accounting Technician reports to the Controller and is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical duties requiring knowledge of basic accounting. The Accounting Technician performs general accounting duties such as recording revenues, preparing and reconciling accounts receivable customer billing, receiving inventory into the system, and performing other related duties as required.
Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that information is up to date to ensure accurate financial information for decision making purposes.
*General Duties and Responsibilities*
* Evaluate and reconcile diverse financial operations, inspect and confirm sources documents, including daily sales, invoices and expense vouchers, to affirm commitments and post suitable records.
* Organize source documents, files and other account affiliated information.
* Carry out job duties on spreadsheets, online database, and all accounting software.
* Supervise invoices and keep filing system up to date.
*Day to Day Operations*
* Performs appropriate bookkeeping functions in the preparation, classification, coding, recording, and/or processing a variety of Team/Corporate division accounting documents and reconciliations.
* Receiving Team/Corporate inventory as directed by the Controller.
* Maintaining order and sales information records for the Team Sales Division.
* Maintain Order My Gear website as directed by Team sales Division and process related billings.
* Promotes a positive and professional image by being knowledgeable about store policies and procedures, answering questions asked by customers, and referring questions or issues beyond the scope of the job to an appropriate co-worker.
* Performs office support activities that may include backup work for other accounting department staff as directed by the Controller.
*Education and Experience*
* A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. Specialized training beyond the high school level emphasizing cash handling, accounting for cash, purchasing, business office procedures, and/or bookkeeping or accounting is preferred.
* At least two years of bookkeeping, and/or accounting experience is preferred.
* Clerical aptitude to include filing, the ability to operate a 10-key calculator and functional knowledge of keyboarding is required.
* Functional knowledge of spreadsheet software (such as Excel), word processing software (such as Word), and other business-related software programs is required

*Compensation*
* Hourly Salary: $19 per hour
* Benefit Package (eligible after three months of employment)
* Health Plan - premiums co-paid 50-50 with employer
