*Escarpment View Dental is currently hiring a part time hygienist to work Monday from 12 pm-8 pm and 2 Saturdays per month 8-2. Some other hours and shifts are possible as well.* *Wages will depend on experience and previous training as well as extra qualifications. This is an employment position with full employment benefits. * Responsibilities: - Perform procedures within the scope of dental hygiene practice; which will include but not limited, to in office whitening, periodontal chemotherapy agent placement and preventative sealants placement. - Take dental x-rays when needed. - Assess and monitor patients' periodontal condition with limited or extended periodontal assessment and general oral health examinations; which will include regular cancer screens. - Educate patients on preventive care. -Triage specialist referrals if needed. -Take part in team work to create a good environment for patient overall dental care by working with team members inside and outside of the office. -*New grads welcome; we provide a great environment and support for a quick and comfortable integration of a new graduate to become a valuable member of dental team.* - Familiarity with Abeldent is an asset.
