Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Work site environment: At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Work setting: Staff accommodation provided. Tasks: Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors. Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports. Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction. Assist during routine systems testing. Assist in locating and isolating system problems. Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair. Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Regulate water levels. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Stationary Engineer 4th Class. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Alarms. Chillers. Compressors. Condensers. Cooling tower. Diesel generators. Distributed control system (DCS). Electronic controls. HVAC. Heat exchangers. Low pressure boilers. Pumps. Switches. Valves. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Team player.
