Position: Industrial Millwright (Technician, Maintenance ? Mechanical) Location: Britannia Rd E / Tomken Rd Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $34.00 per hour Schedule: Day Shift (6:30 AM-5:00 PM)Monday- Thursday & Night Shift (07:00 PM ? 05:30 AM), Working days are Sunday-Thursday Overview: We are seeking a results-oriented Industrial Millwright to join our team and support the demands of our growing business. As an Industrial Millwright, also internally referred to as Technician, Maintenance ? Mechanical, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, including automation and robotics. Your role is crucial in ensuring machinery reliability and production efficiency through preventative and corrective maintenance. Key Responsibilities: ? Planning and Reporting (15%) o Prepare reports on repairs, potential equipment failure, or unsafe conditions. o Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs. ? Production (30%) o Maintain and service machines and equipment used in the manufacturing facility. o Inspect and assess machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions. o Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts. o Operate machine tools to fabricate parts for overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery. o Interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints or schematics. o Collaborate with the maintenance team to relocate or install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. o Exchange technical information with the maintenance team to facilitate troubleshooting and repair processes. ? Line Efficiency (15%) o Participate in the Preventative Maintenance program for continuous machine improvement. o Solve line issues and provide recommendations to enhance accuracy. o Identify inefficiencies and implement effective processes to increase line efficiency. ? Quality Control (15%) o Investigate and implement controls and programming changes to improve productivity and quality. ? Health and Safety (25%) o Assess operating safety devices after repairs, modifications, and installations. o Oversee inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with electrical standards. o Follow health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Qualifications: ? Education o College Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field. ? Certifications o 433A ? Certificate of Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) o Forklift Operator Training Certificate o Aerial Lifts Training Certificate ? Experience o 3?8 years as an Industrial Millwright. o Experience in high-volume manufacturing. o Setup and repair of automation and robotics. o Experience with troubleshooting robotics is preferred. ? Skills o Proficiency in computer systems (Level 5). o Hands-on technical skills, including mechanical repair, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and PLCs. o Manual metal arc welding. ? Abilities o Ability to maintain production equipment. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Ability to learn and follow direction, including health and safety protocols. o Ability to perform repetitive movements and lifting. o High accuracy and efficiency in work. ? This role operates in a production environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, variable temperatures, and fragrances.
