*Description*
We seek an experienced *Industrial Electrician* who enjoys variety in their work and wants to grow with a like minded group of co-workers. Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Leader, the *Industrial Electrician* is responsible for a wide variety of electrical work, from ongoing maintenance and repairs to new machine installations.
*Key Areas of Contribution:*
· Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility and industrial equipment, and associated electrical and electronic controls
· Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and the Canadian Electrical Code. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for serviceability.
· Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
· Install, maintain, troubleshoot and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices, including SSRs, SCRs and VFDs.
· Design, procure and build control panels using PLC and/or relay logic
· Previous experience in a manufacturing industry would be a benefit but not a requirement
*Qualifications:*
· 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
· Working knowledge of PLC and computerized machinery
· Good understanding of AC and DC motors
· Good understanding of relay logic
· Excellent trouble shooting skills
· Strong English language communication skills ? oral and written
· Ability to work in team-based environment and also work independently in a proactive manner
· Ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
· Has a "Safety first" attitude towards work, oneself, and colleagues
· Ability to provide quality customer service
· Available to work day-shift, Monday ? Friday
· Weekends and holidays may be required if shutdown maintenance is required or trouble shooting or emergency repair is not completed by the end of shift
· Responsible for supplying your own tools. A variety of testing equipment and PPE will be supplied.
