We are currently hiring an experienced Project Manager based out of Kamloops, B.C. to manage Rope Access and Geotechnical Stabilization projects throughout Western Canada. This position requires strong leadership and judgement as well as an exceptional ability to organize, plan, and anticipate potential adversity. The ideal candidate will have related industry experience. Applicants with a thorough understanding of Geotechnical hazard mitigation, slope stabilization, ground support, or rope access will be given preference. Geotechnical or engineering education is considered an asset.
This Project Manager is accountable for all business functions including health and safety responsibilities, bid/estimate reviews, negotiations, proposal submissions, presentations, client relations, and contract oversight. The Project Manager is also responsible for project scheduling and planning, cost control, manpower requirements, progress recording, and employee development. They work closely with BAT's Management Team, stakeholders, clients, architects, engineers, and contractors and will consistently build and maintain these relationships by aligning with our Core Values.
The ideal candidate will have experience in ground support system installation, geo technical drilling for anchors, mesh installation, scaling, high angle rope work, various types of drilling, shoring, as well as previous experience or education in project management. They will need to display a good understanding of project management skills in project control, budget maintenance, and financial analysis. It is essential that the successful candidate has a reputation of proven interpersonal skills with team members as well as clients. This role requires relevant working knowledge of regulations and legislations as they apply to the work being preformed.
Applicants maybe required to travel and work in remote locations for short periods of time and be able to pass a criminal check as well as drug and alcohol testing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program is preferred
· Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent is preferred; an equivalent combination of experience plus education will be considered.
· Excellent computer skills including experience using MS Office, Scheduling & PM software with HeavyJobs considered an asset.
· Experience in contracts and delivery methods is essential.
· Sound knowledge in the review and negotiation of contracts for construction projects.
· Strong technical, business, financial and legal acumen
· Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentations), including the ability to successfully translate.
· Exemplary leadership skills, including strong teambuilding capabilities.
· Experience using HeavyJobs program is a strong asset
· Knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity take off procedures sub-trade procurement, pricing and bid closing procedures is required.
· Continuous Improvement mindset, including sound problem identification and problem resolution skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
