PRINCIPAL SECONDARY <p>The Abbotsford School District is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Sem:th First Nation and Mathxw First Nation. With this, we respect the longstanding relationships that Indigenous Nations have to this land, as they are the original caretakers. <p>We are seeking applications for future Principal positions in our Secondary schools. This is an excellent leadership opportunity to advance our vision of equitable and inclusive secondary schools and create a co-constructed inquiry-based learning experience for students that recognizes and supports their social and emotional development.<p>We are seeking a resilient leader who can effectively engage staff in learning opportunities and change initiatives and has a clear personal commitment to meaningful learning experiences, equitable opportunities, and culturally safe environments. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students, families, and staff based on sound planning and decision-making and supportive instructional leadership.<p>Qualifications A Masters degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum, or related discipline <p> A member in good standing with the Teacher Regulation Branch<p> Formal leadership experience, preferably at the secondary school level<p> Demonstrated expertise in instructional leadership <p> Experience developing innovative programs to support the diverse needs of learners<p> Ability to design and implement school-wide systems of intervention including planning, communication, engagement, and change management <p> Demonstrated integration of the First Peoples Principles of Learning and commitment to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission<p> Knowledge of inquiry-based leadership practices that promote deep learning experiences<p> Ability to facilitate adult learning and collaboration.<p> Advanced knowledge of BCs Policy for Student Success.<p> Demonstration of district leadership competencies with particular attention to resilience, capacity-building, visionary leadership, decision-making, and learning leadership.- LocationAbbotsford, BC
