Clearview Public Schools <p> Requires An <p> Educational Assistant <p> Clearview Public Schools invites applications for an Educational Assistant position at Silver Spring Colony School located approximately 10 minutes southeast of Halkirk, Alberta. This colony school has 9 students in grades 1 to 8. This position is scheduled to start immediately and will be 6 hrs/day. <p> The successful applicant will provide individual attention to a student with specialized needs. Responsibilities include: <p> Caring for an nine year old student with complex needs (approximately, 4 hours per day); <p> Working in a team with SLP, OT, parents and school staff to implement inclusive programming; <p> Supporting the student by implementing strategies outlined in the Individual Program Plan; <p> Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher in the regular classroom (2 hours per day) The successful applicant will: <p> Be able to work in a collaborative team environment; <p> Be interested or experienced in working with children with a variety of needs; and <p> Be a self starter capable of working independently. Special consideration will be given to those with an Educational Assistant Certificate. Educational Assistants receive a competitive salary of $17.56 to $24.79 per hour.
