Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Outdoors. Wet/damp. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads and public grounds. Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control. Collect and load refuse on garbage trucks. Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment. Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment. Shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, spread concrete and asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes and hand tampers. Sweep debris and remove snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other areas, and load snow and debris into carts or trucks. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Experience: Will train.- LocationSurrey, BC
