Position: Part-Time Console OperatorSite: Ciena Corporation (5050 Innovation Dr) Hours: Friday and Saturday 2300-1100 hoursOvertime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hoursPay Rate: $21.50/hour Posting Date: September 25, 2024 (Internal) Closing Date: October 02, 2024 (Internal) Why choose Paladin? Job Responsibilities Dispatching alarm and occurrence responses Coordinating scheduling changes, book-offs, etc. Documenting all information into comprehensive reports Escalating situations to stakeholders as required Ensures necessary procedures are followed in the event of emergencies such as bomb threats, fires, and break and enters etc. Liaise with local emergency services and client personnel Provides briefings to management, supervisors and staff as required Patrolling Other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Experience in Control room with CCTV & Access Card SystemValid Security License for the province of OntarioValid (WSIB Approved) First Aid Certificate Level C Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability Skills/Knowledge/Abilities of the job: Functional ability with the Windows operating system and Windows Office software such as Excel and WordAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks Familiarity with Tracktik is considered an assetSuperior customer service and professionalismAbove average English communication skills, both verbal and written; French is considered a strong asset Ability to function independently and multi-task effectively in a dynamic environmentPrevious Operations Centre experience would be considered an asset Other InformationPaladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place!
