UPDATING DATABASE FOR FUTURE OPPORTUNITIESNO START DATE FOR THIS POSITIONREPORTS TO: DrillerDEPARTMENT: DrillingSUPERVISES: N/ALOCATION: Offshore Newfoundland, CanadaJOB SUMMARY: Organizing/performing jobs in the pump room, mud mixing area and derrick, and assist in other areas as needed.PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent0.5 years experience as a Derrickman on 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible or similar installations2 years experience as an Assistant Derrickman on 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible or similar installationPrevious experience with AKER and MHWirth equipment preferredStructured and organized mindsetHigh level of integrityAnalytical abilityGood verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMust pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening ChecksDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform on the job training in own areas.Be in accordance with own competence requirements at all times.Know working procedures and checklists within own area of responsibility.Supervision of the pump room, mud mixing equipment and drilling fluid.Frequently test the properties of the drilling fluid and keep records of the results.Perform maintenance activities.Keep the driller informed about the consistency of the drilling fluid as well as the general state of the pumps.Operate any drilling equipment in a proper manner within its capacity limits and at the correct tempo.Contribute to good communication between all involved in the ongoing operation.Keep the workplace tidy and clean.Emergency duties according to the unit?s emergency organization.Perform other duties as assigned.The above is intended as a summary of the key requirements for the position and is not intended to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities.It is the objective of Puglisevich to ensure employment equity within the workplace.
