Superior Facility Services is a family owned company providing laundry and housekeeping services to long term care and retirement facilities for over 30 years. We are searching for permanent casual and part time housekeeping aides for one of our locations in Collingwood Ontario. *This is a permanent position and requires flexibility and availability each week. No seasonal layoffs. Must be able to work day and afternoon shifts and alternate weekends. This is a healthcare facility and an essential service. Candidates MUST be willing to work during pandemic and adhere to policies and regulations regarding Covid 19 in healthcare. * Must provide Vulnerable Sector Police Check and 2 Step TB Test. Duties: Follow job routines to maintain overall cleanliness of facility; sweep, mop and wash floors; dust furniture; vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture; clean, disinfect fixtures; disinfect rooms and other areas; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; clean and disinfect elevators; handle and report lost and found items; pick up debris and empty trash containers. Working Conditions: Must be able to stand for long periods (experience is an asset but willing to train the right candidate) Must enjoy working with seniors and bring a positive can do attitude to work everyday. Involves pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and standing and walking for long periods of time. Willing to train the right candidate but experience is considered an asset. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.Responsibilities: - Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas - Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, and common areas - Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and mop floors - Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly - Restock supplies such as toiletries and paper products - Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor - Follow established procedures for infection control and safety protocols - Provide excellent customer service to guests and address their needs promptly Requirements: - Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred - Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required - Familiarity with hand tools and power tools for basic facilities maintenance - Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members - Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively - Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual Pay: From $17.20 per hour Benefits: * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Morning shift * Weekends as needed Experience: * Cleaning: 1 year (preferred) Language: * English (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationCollingwood, ON
