Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Asset languages: Spanish; Castilian. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development. Develop specific plans to prioritize. Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities. Implement soil fertility programs. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Perform general farm duties. Type of crops: Cherries. Equipment and machinery experience: Sprayer or duster. Tractor. Forklift. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.- LocationKelowna, BC
