Temporary employees will have their applications considered prior to external applicants.<p>Hourly Rate:<p>$28.08 - $32.49 per hour<p>Closing Date:<p>November 8, 2024, 4:00pm<p>Full Time Equivalent:<p>1.0 FTE <p>Assignment:<p>Effective November 18, 2024<p>Working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week<p><p><p>About the ALCDSB<p>The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board serves approximately 12,000 students, employs over 1,400 full-time equivalent staff, and covers a geographical area of more than 16,000 square kilometers (Whitney in the North, Picton in the South, Trenton in the West, and Kingston in the East).<p>The ALCDSB builds faith-filled learning communities where each member is loved, inspired, and successful.<p><p><p>Position Summary<p>The Maintenance Person II, Certified Electrician will ensure the proper and safe operation of all electrical equipment in all Board facilities.<p>Qualifications<p><p> High School Diploma or equivalent work related experience;<p> Ontario or federal Certificate of Electrical License. <p> Certificate of Qualification for Electrician Construction/Maintenance;<p> Certificate of Qualification for Industrial Electrician;<p> Fire Alarm and Protection Certificate;<p> Between two and three years experience as an electrician.<p> Ability to lift a minimum of 25 kg. (55 lb.) and to work from ladders and scaffolds;<p> Valid Ontario Driver?s License.<p> Excellent knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code;<p> Excellent knowledge of Ontario Fire Code;<p> Excellent knowledge of Ontario Building Code;<p> Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act<p><p>The Board is seeking candidates who demonstrate the following core competencies:<p>Communication <p>Shares and receives information and ideas in a variety of ways and adapts to the needs of the audience to ensure the message is understood.<p>Innovation <p>Creates, develops and implements new processes or services with the aim of improving the learning community for all.<p>Interpersonal Relations <p>Displays characteristics and personal attributes that enhance communication and interactions.
