Temporary employees will have their applications considered prior to external applicants.<p> <p><p>Hourly Rate:<p><p> <p>$26.06 - $30.13 per hour<p> <p><p>Closing Date:<p><p> <p>November 8, 4:00pm<p> <p><p>Full Time Equivalent:<p><p> <p>1.0 FTE <p> <p><p>Assignment:<p><p> <p>Effective date to be determined. <p>Working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week<p> <p><p>About the ALCDSB<p><p>The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board serves approximately 12,000 students, employs over 1,400 full-time equivalent staff, and covers a geographical area of more than 16,000 square kilometers (Whitney in the North, Picton in the South, Trenton in the West, and Kingston in the East).<p>The ALCDSB builds faith-filled learning communities where each member is loved, inspired, and successful.<p> <p> <p><p>Position Summary<p><p>The Caretaker III is responsible for the day-to-day services and activities which are necessary to keep the school at an acceptable level of cleanliness and safety. The building, grounds, and equipment are maintained in a satisfactory state of repair, to minimize class disruption. <p> <p><p>Qualifications<p><p> High School Diploma or equivalent work-related experience.<p><p><p> 1 to 2 years caretaking experience;<p> Experience using various equipment (hand tools, floor machines, auto scrubbers);<p> Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, Fire Safety Standards and procedures, as well as security procedures;<p> Working knowledge of HVAC equipment. <p> Excellent organizational skills;<p> Physical ability to perform the duties of the position;<p> Proven ability to read and write English;<p> Ability to lift maximum 25 kg.
