Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home is accepting applications for a Full Time Dietary Cook position to become part of a dynamic team that ensures our residents are provided with nutritious and delicious meals. The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation, kitchen operations, and maintaining food safety standards in a Long Term Care Setting. The successful applicant must demonstrate resident-focused care in terms of positive behaviour and attitude. You have the ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, time management, organizational skills, patience, flexibility and adaptability are required in this role. *Responsibilities:* *- *Responsible for preparing quality and attractive meals while following the therapeutic diets and according to the planned menu. - Accountable for ensuring food is handled in a safe manner including proper storage and labelling. - Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen - Serve meals to residents in a professional and courteous manner following resident diet orders. *Qualifications and Education Requirement:* - Chef Training Culinary Management Diploma or Certificate or holds a Certificate of Qualification in the trade of Cook or Institutional Cook - Ability to read, understand and follow diet orders and work assignments. - Available to work flexible hours including weekends.
