Okanagan Eye MD is looking to hire a full-time Medical Office Assistant to join our team. We are a busy Ophthalmology office that works closely together in a team environment. The successful candidate must be reliable, organized, detail oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks at once in a fast paced environment. The candidate must demonstrate empathy and patience for the needs of our patients. We are looking to fill an 8:00am-4:30pm position, Monday to Friday. Your daily responsibilities will include: -Greeting and checking in patients. Confirming or updating patient demographics -Answer incoming phone calls and triaging appropriately -Book, confirm, modify or cancel appointments as requested by patient, physicians, MOA's or manager -Management of incoming e-faxes -Triage and/or completion of assigned tasks within EMR EMR experience such as Accuro and ophthalmic and/or optometry knowledge is an asset but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm and we are closed on statutory holidays.
