We are currently recruiting for a Chief Engineer eager to join our team of elite hospitality professionals who redefine luxury service and guest experience on a daily basis. As the Chief Engineer, you'll oversee all aspects of the Engineering and operating systems in alignment with our hotel standards. Your role is to manage, implement, and maintain a service-oriented philosophy that guides your team to success. Job Overview As the Chief Engineer, you'll oversee all aspects of the Engineering and operating systems in alignment with our hotel standards. Your role is to manage, implement, and maintain a service-oriented philosophy that guides your team to success! KEY RESPONSIBILITES: * Manage the repair and maintenance of all hotel equipment ranging from electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry * Respond to maintenance guest calls in a timely manner, prioritizing guest satisfaction * Ensure all safety systems are up to date and meet health and safety standards. * Understand and perform basic construction methods and materials, i.e., grouting, masonry, and carpentry. * Keep accurate records of assigned tasks and work completed keeping open communication with the Executive and Housekeeping team * Make sure that storage areas and maintenance room are in good condition and well organized * Daily property walk through to look for potential issues. * Development of Preventative Maintenance Plan for Hotel, Bacchus Restaurant and Outdoor Spaces. Qualifications: * Education: High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate. Relevant certifications and licenses are advantageous. * Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a large building maintenance role. Expertise in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems is highly desired. * Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, problem-solving proficiency, and keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster a collaborative team environment. * Technical Know-How: In-depth understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus. * Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs., as well as perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, and working at heights using ladders or lifts.
