Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Content Management Solutions, the Senior Manager Development will be responsible for the delivery and support of technology solutions related to Content Management, specifically unstructured content. You will manage the technology and relationship between our business line partners and information technology partners globally; ensure business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures and provide leadership and guidance to the overall Technology and Operations Strategy. Effectively work with our technology and business partners to provide innovative solutions that are sustainable, flexible, reliable, and scalable to continually meet the growing global footprint. Build strong relationships with business partners, technology partners, stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and their teams, to facilitate collaboration. Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout the team to deepen business partner's relationships and knowledge. Supervise teams that deliver transformative technology initiatives to enable success through increased efficiency, reduced cost, faster time to market. Oversee teams working on the implementation of solutions that address risks and issues that have a broad impact on projects, systems, and teams (e.g. software currency, vulnerabilities) Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage platform capabilities effectively, deliver future proof technology solutions and take a leading role in initiatives to drive innovation and digital transformation throughout the Bank. Provide IT leadership, PMO and finance with the data to support and maintain operating budgets and business cases. Review planned activities for future initiatives, participate in forward-planning sessions and identify/resolve conflicts between initiatives. Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. . Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 10+ years of relevant software development and IT industry work experience, with clear progression through ranks, and 3+ years leading and building high performance teams Experience with Content Management Solutions is an asset Must be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build collaboration and alignment from both stakeholder groups and other technology teams. Disciplined in development methodology and familiar with software development technologies and concepts. Practical experience with systems design and specification for large scale applications. Strong programming skills in any programming language, and experience with a wide spectrum of technologies including Cloud development/deployment (Azure/Google) Practical expertise on agile delivery with deep understating of core agile concepts and practices, and DevOps culture Able to live and train people though a continuous improvement and growth mindsets.
