Responsibilities
Tasks

Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

Maintain general ledgers and financial statements

Post journal entries

Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports

Prepare tax returns

Reconcile accounts

Prepare payroll

Prepare financial statements and reports

Prepare income tax returns from accounting records

Plan for translation and interpretation services

Examine accounting records

Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control

Ensure compliance with government regulations

Analyze financial documents and reports

Compile, verify, record and process applications, licences, permits, contracts, registrations, requisitions, and other forms and documents

Provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses.

Translate a variety of written material

Interpret for persons speaking an Aboriginal or foreign language

Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and administer contracts and other documents
