Here we grow again ! Laurysen Kitchens is hiring a Purchasing Agent to start as soon as possible. If you think you've got what it takes we invite you to apply! *Main duties will include,* * Sourcing of raw materials | consumables | equipment | services (both independently and/or in collaboration with department managers) * Negotiate price | discounts | delivery | service terms ? generate purchase orders, return credits * Develop purchasing strategies to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness including the establishment of minimum / maximum for stock items, long range forecasts for sheet stock - melamine, advanced orders & blanket PO system * Conduct supplier evaluations (price, service, delivery) * Purchasing records ? overall responsibility (quotations thru delivery) ? electronic and hardcopy * Maintain and generate reports (supplier lists, supplier reviews, etc.) * Purchasing procedures (develop, initiate, follow up and report effectiveness) based on supply chain management principles * Work closely with receiving to ensure no stock-outs on regularly stocked inventory * Ensure import | export | safety data sheet compliance * Monitor delivery timing and address or elevate problems as required for resolution *Skills, Background, Education* · Bachelor?s Degree or Minimum post-secondary certificate in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management with minimum 2 years? experience · Supply Chain Management Professional Designation through PMAC complete or in-progress a definite asset · Negotiation | critical and analytical thinking skills · Knowledgeable in market research, inventory control, and procurement strategies · Excellent organizational | time management skills · Excellent communication skills (verbal | written) · Strong interpersonal skills for building positive internal | external relationships · Manufacturing environment and cabinet industry experience We offer competitive wages and benefits package.
