Responsibilities: -Responsible for following the policies and procedures of Peters Excavating as set by the management team.-Responsible for positively representing Peters Excavating.-Responsible for participating in the Health and Safety Program.-Responsible for proper care and maintenance of the building, property and assets.-Responsible for the quality of worked performed.-Responsible for participating in training sessions. Requirements: -Clean drivers abstract.-Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience operating.-Good personality.-Willing to work 10 to 12 hour days and Saturday when required.-Willing to fill in as a labourer when required.-Mechanical ability an asset but not required.-CSA/Approved Steel toed boots. Skills and Abilities: -Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.-Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.-Operate heavy equipment (Excavator, Grader, Dozer, Skidsteer, etc.)-Perform minor repair to equipment.-Secure attachments and equipment.-Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification an asset but not required.-Class 3A or 1A license preferred, but not required.-Clean Drug and Alcohol test is a condition of employment.-Job task planning and organization.-Decision making.-Working with Others.-Snow removal.-Backfilling.-Excavation.-Fine grading and finishing.-Material handling.-Rough grading.-Sloping and banking.-Stock piling.-Sub-grade excavating.-Loading Trucks.
