*This position requires a Cover Letter and Resume to be submitted when you apply and pre-screening questions to be complete for external applicants.* *Position/Status: *Cook - Casual *POST#: *728 *Internal Competition: *FMT-24-127 *Starting Hourly Rate:* $25.85 + 4% vacation + 12.5% in lieu of all benefits *Details: *No guarantee of hours *Shifts Include: *6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. *External Applicants Employee Referral: * Part of the application process allows you to indicate if you have been referred by a current employee with the County of Frontenac. This can be completed through the pre-screening questions or under the RSS option in your applicant account under Basic Information. *Position Summary:* The Cook oversees and coordinates the preparation and provision of nutritional meals and snacks for the residents of Fairmount Home according to all appropriate regulations and standards including the Long-Term Care Homes Act. The Cook will carry out the duties in alignment to the organization`s mission, vision and values, and work to further its priorities. *Education and Experience: * * Red Seal Certificate or, Chefs training or equivalent post-secondary certificate/diploma in culinary management or equivalent, as required by the Long Term Care Homes Act * Three (3) years of experience in dietary services in an industrial or similar setting The County of Frontenac is an equal opportunity employer.
