Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Inspect repaired vehicles. Plan repair work to be performed. Professionalism in customer service. Test drive vehicles for proper handling. Clean and maintain work space. Instruct apprentices. Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components. File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired. Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers. Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place. Repair or replace interior components. Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots.
