Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Sheet metal shop. Tasks: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Document work completed. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Equipment and machinery experience: Power presses. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Metal forming or shaping operations experience: Bending. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Manual dexterity. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Judgement.
