The Event Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the regulatory processes and managing the key relationships related to event permitting in the city. The position also supports the development of the event sector and manages the financial and human resources of the event permitting unit. Key aspects of this position include providing leadership and direction to the City?s Event Services Committee, managing the outdoor event/film application and approval processes, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and advancing initiatives and strategies that support the event sector. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and energetic leader with a degree in Recreation Administration, Event Management or equivalent leadership training plus five years? experience in the Recreation or Event industry. Significant experience and expertise in successfully managing, promoting and overseeing events; strong communication skills that support consensus building and conflict resolution; and demonstrated abilities to multitask and meet deadlines by effectively leading and managing people, projects and initiatives.
