*DEPARTMENT : Ski Operations*
*REPORTS TO : Director of Ski Operations or designate*
*JOB SUMMARY*
The Ski Patroller is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to our guests to ensure a safe and positive experience. You will be actively visible and communicating protocols with guests in lift lines, offering assistance in customer service wayfinding, determining if guests are skiing/boarding on the appropriate terrain for their abilities and ensuring guests have the appropriate pass to be on hill.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
*Education and Experience:*
* Must have the ability to navigate all ski runs at Hockley Valley Resort on ski?s or snowboard
* Hold Emergency First Responder certification at minimum
* Previous Ski Patroller experience considered an asset.
*Physical requirements:*
* Ability to walk, stand and ski for majority of shift.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

*Other requirements:*
* Strong organizational skills.
* Effective communication skills
* Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
* Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
* Must be able to understand information and ideas presented through written sentences and paragraphs and effectively communicate in writing as appropriate for the task or audience.
* Interact with others in a way that builds openness, trust, and confidence in the pursuit of organizational goals and lasting relationships.
*DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS*
Essential:
* Follow all policies and procedures of Hockley Valley Resort.
* Patrol the hills to ensure riders are maintaining a safe environment for themselves and those around them
* Prepare detailed reports of incidents and accidents
* Provide physical assistance to guests when needed
* The ability to render First Response level of first aid
* Must adhere to resort grooming standards and present themselves at the start of each shift in proper uniform.
* Other duties as assigned

Pay: $17.85-$18.87 per hour
