If this describes you, we would be thrilled to welcome you to our collaborative family! *What will you be doing* * Participates with other members of the Nutritional Care Team in meeting the nutritional needs of all residents in the home * Preparation of menu and snack items in compliance with the Ministry of Health requirements * Follow food safety practices, including personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, proper storage, and cleaning procedures * Regularly monitor and document food safety practices to ensure compliance * Plating meals and meal delivery to the residents * Clearing and cleaning dishes, general cleaning duties * Maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, families, and public *What do we offer* * Competitive pay with the opportunity to grow * Free parking * Exceptional health benefits for permanent part-time and full-time for you and your family * Employee Assistance Program * Exclusive employee discount program * Exclusive Employee App for Enhanced Communication and Collaboration * Funded professional development opportunities may be available * Mentoring programs for career development * Set up to succeed in your role with a detailed onboarding and training process *What will you bring along* * Experience in institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality cooking * Red Seal Chef, Culinary Management or Equivalent as an asset but not a requirement * Current Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain * Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire * TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year. * Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization * Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always * Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently * Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills * Strong work ethic and positive team attitude We are dedicated to making our homes comfortable, enjoyable, and secure places to work.
