*Job Summary* The Lift Operator is an important part of any ski area. Their job is to represent the company on the front lines of the operation, similar to the Front Desk staff of a hotel. They are there to assist and guide all skiers from beginner to expert to ensure a satisfied positive skiing experience. *Duties* * Safe loading of passengers * Safe unloading of passengers * Prevent any dangerous situations at loading and unloading areas * Educate skiing public of proper loading and unloading techniques * Organize line-up areas to keep lifts full and loading smoothly * Check skiers tickets and season passes for authenticity and date * Direct public to different areas of the Resort if inquiries occur * Direct skiers of different caliber of skiing to appropriate slopes * Assist in any way at loading or unloading areas to ensure skier safety * Alert Lift Mechanics or Supervisors of any unusual occurrences in the lifts * Visually check lift during shift for any areas of repair needed * Daily lift inspection books MUST be completed daily in each lift * Keep loading and unloading areas neat and free of garbage * Maintaining snow conditions in loading and unloading areas * Loading and unloading areas are to be prepped at end of all shifts * Continually monitor skiers riding up lift lines to prevent any dangerous situations * Politely enforce skiers responsibility on and off lifts if required *Those interested in applying should attend the Open House & Job Fair on November 9, 2024 in the Activity Centre from 10:00 am to 2:00pm* Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal Contract length: 4 months Pay: $16.55-$18.87 per hour Work Location: In person- LocationMono, ON
