*Overview:* The Cleaning Technician has a basic understanding of restoration techniques used in cleaning content and structures is preferred. Duties will include structural cleaning as well as content packing, listing, photographing, manipulation and restorative cleaning; The cleaning specialist operates various types of cleaning equipment, performs pack-out/pack in services and conducts final cleans to restore sites to their prior condition before sustaining smoke, fire, vandalism or water damage. *Successful applicant will possess the following:* *Responsibilities:* Providing exceptional customer service * Cleaning and restoration of content damaged by water, fire, smoke and mold. * Conducting thorough final site cleans * Capturing content images and uploading to our database * Listing Inventory * Detailed job records * Content cleaning and packing * Inventory management * Be available for new floods/fires after hours during scheduled on-call rotation. * Reports any equipment problems, safety violations, damages, and breakage to management immediately * Assists team leaders in maintaining and cleaning equipment; unloading and loading supplies; cleaning up work site; and maintaining appearance of vans inside and outside. * Packs and inventories damaged contents for detailed cleaning using appropriate packing supplies and procedures. * Unpacks and performs detailed cleaning of damaged contents on-site or at contractor?s warehouse, and packs and inventories clean contents in new packing materials. * Familiarity with chemical products, including use, disposal and Safety Data Sheets application * Process all content according to industry standards and regardless of their condition ensuring they are returned to the customer or disposed of as directed by the Project Manager * This role could be required to act as a ?lead? periodically as designated by their manager *Qualifications:* * Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience preferred * IICRC certification in Fire and Smoke, Odour Control and/or Water Damage preferred * Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices * Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per company vehicle policy * Ability to work within a team or independently as needed * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment * Basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience essential * Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested * Household or commercial cleaning experience * Superior customer service skills and professionalism with clients * Willingness to learn and work under the leadership * Able to communicate effectively in English * Able to work alone or with minimal supervision * Able to lift content 30-40 lbs * A clear Drivers Abstract and clean Criminal Record. *Physical Demands* * Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted (up to 50% of the time) * Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 35-65% of the time) * Access and mobility in tight spaces * Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling _Shamas Contracting Inc. is an inclusive and equal opportunity employer.
