Position Summary The Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) provides screening, preventive clinical services, counselling and education about oral health issues to community members in accordance with the Ontario Public Health Standards. These services are provided in schools, and the dental clinics at the Health Unit. The Dental Hygienist is available to answer questions from local oral health providers about both clinical issues, and also Ministry programs. Basic Function: Plan, implement/deliver and evaluate programs which promote dental and oral health to various groups within the County Position Description: Identify and assess the oral health needs of various groups within the County Teach clients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counselling) Provide oral health- LocationSimcoe, ON
