Onyx Hose & Tube is searching for a *Maintenance Mechanic* to join our team. We can provide thorough training to help you excel in your career in maintenance, however the ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of maintenance experience to the job. Our Maintenance Mechanic will work Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm, with the expectation of being available when needed. Chosen candidate will be required to be available for emergency breakdowns and on an ?on-call? basis 7-days a week, as the facility runs 24 hours/day. It Is preferred that the candidate live locally to ensure quick response.
*The ideal candidate for this position will bring:*
· 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong maintenance background, including experience with maintaining equipment such as grinders, extruders, lappers, vacuum tanks, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.
· Experience in a leadership role
· Experience with preventative maintenance, diagnostics & repair
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Knowledge of computer applications
· A strong ability to problem solve
· Fabrication & welding experience
· Strong understanding of OHSA, ESA, PSHSR, Lockout & Safety policies
· Knowledge of how to read blue prints, mechanical diagrams, schematics
· Working knowledge of motor controls, PLC drives, panel building
· Grade 12 education minimum/Highschool diploma
*Job duties*
· Perform & document preventative maintenance and ensure all equipment is inspected and safe for use
· Inspect, diagnose and repair equipment as needed, including, but not limited to high speed production equipment & control panels & electrical breakdowns in machinery
· Monitor and control supplies needed for maintenance, place requisitions as necessary, obtain quotes
· Manage MRO system & maintain weekly maintenance schedule
· Offer support to production when needed
· Design & fabricate components using shop equipment & tools necessary to improve plant performance
· Inform production of routine preventative maintenance techniques to reduce downtime
· Other duties as required

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
