We are currently recruiting for a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring that vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. *Duties* * Perform diagnostics and repairs on automotive systems, including gas and diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. * Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble and disassemble vehicle components. * Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately. * Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed on vehicles. * Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop environment. * Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology. * Maintain training requirements through General Motors. *Skills* * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex issues. * Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. * Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred but not required. * Ability to read and interpret schematics for various automotive systems. * Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building rapport with clients. * Capability to assemble parts accurately as part of vehicle repairs or maintenance tasks.
