Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Architectural firm. Tasks: Create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD). Create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD). Analyze technical documents and reports. Assist in supervising construction projects. Prepare working drawings. Assist in design development. Work with customers, architects and engineers regarding plans and specifications. Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints. Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets. Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations. Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets. Type of drafting: Shop drawings. Computer and technology knowledge: Adobe Photoshop. AutoCAD. Autodesk REVIT. MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Project. MS Word. InDesign. Architectural software programs. Area of work experience: Design. Architectural specialization: Commercial and/or industrial construction. Site inspections.
