Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Garden centre. Retail business. Tasks: Evaluate daily operations . Manage staff and assign duties. Develop and implement marketing strategies. Determine staffing requirements. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers. Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards. Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries. Assign sales workers to duties. Organize and maintain inventory. Perform same duties as workers supervised. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations. Supervision: 16-20 people. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic scheduler. Inventory control software. Electronic mail. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
