Our Dartmouth facility plays a vital role in Goodfellow?s success in Atlantic Canada. As a Forklift Operator, you?ll work alongside other operators to load and unload transports while keeping our lumber yard organized. Here?s What We?re Looking For:* * Previous forklift experience (an asset) * Experience in a lumber yard or building materials environment (preferred) * Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced team setting * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) * Safety-conscious mindset * Willingness to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions * Physical capability to perform the job duties * Availability for overtime *Your Role:* * Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently within our warehouse facility * Complete regular safety checklists and duty reports for forklift operations * Report mechanical issues or other concerns promptly through inspection reports * Follow proper procedures for order picking using an electronic scanner, managing returns, and identifying damaged goods * Collaborate with logistics, treatment operators, and sales teams * Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the warehouse and production areas *What We Offer:* * Competitive salary based on experience * Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 5 pm, with opportunities for overtime and weekends * Paid lunch and breaks * Comprehensive health and dental benefits package * Pension plan Experience: * Forklift: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Forklift Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 44.5 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Company pension * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * RRSP match Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Overtime * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationDartmouth, NS
