Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistant at Hilltop High School.<p>Successful candidate responsibilities: <p><p> Working with students one-on-one & in groups in Jr. and Sr. High classrooms including working with students in a Life Skills Program <p><p>Preference will be given to candidates who: <p><p> Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff<p> Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school<p> Understand and carry out oral and written direction<p> Work independently with minimal instruction<p> Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills<p> Respect confidentiality<p> Practice professionalism with all HTH students, staff, administration, parents and public<p> Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures<p> Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process<p> Have strong interpersonal skills and patience<p> Enjoys working in a team environment<p> A Teaching Assistant Certificate would be an asset<p><p>Start Date: <p><p> As soon as a suitable candidate is found<p><p>Hours: <p><p> 6.5 hours a day, 5 days a week<p><p>Application Process: <p><p> Email a cover letter and resume, including references, by November 13, 2024, to:<p><p>Mr. Brent Northcott, Principal<p>Hilltop High School<p>Phone: 780-778-2446<p>Email: brent.northcott@ngps.ca<p>If shortlisted, applicants must bring to the interview a Release of Results of Vulnerable Sector Check that is current within three (3) months. <p>We appreciate all applications, but we will only contact those who are shortlisted.- LocationWhitecourt, AB
