This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn valuable skills and advance your career in the electrical trade. *Responsibilities* * Assist Journeymen Electricians in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems. * Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand electrical layouts. * Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. * Participate in troubleshooting electrical issues under supervision. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment. * Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times while on job sites. * Guide more junior apprentices as required. * Document work performed and report progress to supervisors. *Qualifications* * Must possess construction and maintenance electrical experience, able to read and interpret drawings and understand wiring theory. * Must be an indentured electrical Apprentice. * Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as part of a team. * Must be reliable and dependable (i.e. punctual and ready to work). * Must enjoy laughing, and a good work-life balance. * Demonstrated excellent communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to work safely. * Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work. * Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus. * Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices. * Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians. * Good physical stamina, as the role may require standing for extended periods and lifting equipment as needed. * A valid Class 5 driver's license is required. * Must be authorized to work in Canada. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 ? 50 per week Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime Work Location: In person- LocationKamloops, BC
