*Full ? Time Permanent with Benefits* *Terminal location: Pontypool, ON* *Start time: 6:30AM to 3:30PM *_*(end time may vary ie. dependent upon unforeseen delays, freight and or route coverage)*_ *Working days: Monday to Friday and *_*Some Saturdays*_ _*Overtime will be paid after 45 hours worked. Overtime is based on freight volume, weather, mechanical delays etc.*_ *What you will do:* * _*Drive a 3 ton commercial truck to deliver, pick up freights and perform overflow volume to assigned stops in the Durham area*_ * Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time _*(15-20 deliveries/day and 1-2 pickups)*_ * Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights * _*Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or manual hand pump/pump truck*_ * _*Lift and or carry freight (hand bomb) up to 50lbs.*_ * Complete any necessary paperwork accurately * Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection * Report on all safety hazards and accidents * Use a cellular phone to communicate with Dispatch, Lead Hand and Manager ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc?. * Provide excellent customer service * Build strong client relationships * Adhere to safety and compliance regulations * Additional duties as required *What you will get:* * $22.00/hour - Paid bi-weekly * Paid bi-weekly (directly into your bank account through payroll deposit) * City driving only ? (Hand bomb work)*_ * _*Load in proper sequence of delivery with the use of a dolley and or a manual hand /pump truck*_ * Excellent communication and problem solving skills * Strong organizational skills * Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork * Customer Focus ? experience providing quality customer service * Adaptable to change * Experience working in a fast paced environment * Experience working independently and with minimal supervision * Ability to work on a team and being a team player * Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices * Must have a safety and compliance mind set *ALL applicants will be subject to:* *1.
