*Key Responsibilities:* * Maintaining complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards, as well as maintenance and use of equipment. * Anticipating guests? needs; acknowledging and responding promptly to all guest requests. * Setting up tables for each event as stated in Banquet Event Order. * Serving plated meals. * Replenishing buffet items to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation. * Monitoring tableware to ensure it is polished and presentable. * Clearing food and drinks from tables. * Cleaning up after events. * Bartending efficiently and accurately to large groups. * Maintaining complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method, ingredients, sauces; communicating allergies and dietary restrictions to the Banquet management team. * Performing all other duties, as required. *Qualifications & Experience:* * Must be able to perform job functions with speed and accuracy. * Ability to prioritize, organize and follow directions thoroughly. * Must be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. * Must be highly motivated and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a dynamic team. * Must display excellent attention to detail and has a proven ability to work under minimal supervision during high volume situations. * Serving It Right certification. * Food Safe Level 1 considered an asset. * Ability to lift trays that may weigh up to 11.5 kilograms (25 pounds). * Previous food service experience required. * Knowledge of function preparation and room set-ups considered a strong asset * Must be available to work more than 20 hours/week; flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
