Contract Posting #: SD 1542025ED<p>Posting Date: November 7, 2024<p>Closing Date: Open Until Filled <p> Contract Opportunity <p> Online Grade K-7 Educator <p> Team <p> HomeLearners Network <p> Team Lead <p> Director of Program & Service Development <p> Summary of the Opportunity <p> Join the HomeLearners Network (HLN), an exciting program of SelfDesign Learning Foundation. <p> HLN offers a collection of STEAM-based hands-on activities designed to ignite kids' passions, linking fingers to brains and fostering real-time connections. By engaging in our interactive platform, kids and their families can explore their interests while connecting with others in a supportive and fun environment.<p> We are seeking experienced, provincially certified, online educators to assist with the development and hosting of live-streamed, virtual educational activities. <p> As an online educator, you will be responsible for creating, designing and facilitating engaging, meaningful and fun live online activities for learners at the K-7 level. These live online activities are focused on learning and exploring new skills and interests. The goal is that activities supplement learners education, it is not academically driven. View our live, online activities here including current activities to learn more. <p> This contract opportunity is highly flexible. You can plan and offer single session activities, series, and camps. The number of activities and frequency of delivery are negotiated based on your availability and the needs of our learners. This is an eight month contract opportunity, from December 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025 with the possibility of extension. <p> HLNs online educators work collaboratively to develop topics for activities, focusing on a range of fun topics using Universal Design for Learning principles. <p> We are seeking educators with experience in the following specializations: <p> STEAM, specifically: <p> Robotics <p> Animation <p> Math, numeracy, financial literacy <p> Engineering and design <p> Advanced coding, programming <p> Game development <p> Social Studies (History, Geography, Current Events) <p> Applied Design, Skills & Technology, specifically: <p> Graphics & design <p> Entrepreneurship, business, marketing <p> Community & Culture <p> Social & Emotional learning <p> Languages <p> Primary education (cross curricular) Do you have a unique specialization that you are passionate about thats not included in the list above?
