*Job Overview*
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to manage the financial records of our organization. As a key member of the finance team, the bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, processing transactions, and assisting with budgeting and reporting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in bookkeeping software and possess strong analytical skills to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
*Key Responsibilities*
· General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
· Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial records.
· Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, provide variance analysis, and offer insights on financial performance to help guide business decisions.
· Payroll Oversight: Support payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees and compliance with tax regulations.
· Tax Compliance: Prepare and file local, state, and federal tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax filings.
· Audit Preparation: Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and supporting data as needed.
· Cash Flow Management: Monitor company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs and advising on cash management strategies.
· Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, helping the organization maintain the integrity of its financial data.
· Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and advice to management, offering insights into cost-saving opportunities, revenue growth, and other financial decisions.
· Software & Systems: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) to manage financial transactions and generate financial reports.
*Qualifications*
· Education: Associate?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor?s degree preferred).
· Experience: Minimum of 2?3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Prior in-house bookkeeping experience is highly preferred.
*Skills:*
· Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks)
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
· Experience with payroll processing and tax filings
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 ? 24 per week
