Run-Rite is a small, family-owned trucking company conveniently located on the North Perimeter Highway in Winnipeg, MB. Our areas of operation are, but not limited to, Texas, Arizona, California, Washington with returns to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. We run a well-maintained fleet of new model Freightliner trucks, California compliant reefer units, dry vans and flat decks. *Job description:* We are currently looking for a licensed and experienced heavy duty mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, highly self-motivated, hardworking and works independently. You must have experience with semi-trucks and trailers for service and maintenance, analyzing/identifying electronic defects, completing major or minor repairs in shop, and preparing/submitting equipment maintenance records. We will consider either FULL or PART time. Ideal hours of work are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Part time schedules can be discussed. This role requires proficiency in using power tools and industrial equipment, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment. *Duties and responsibilities will include:* * Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing * Complete electrical, interior, air brake system, tire, body repairs and welding as required * Facilitate safety inspections * Repair/replace equipment when appropriate * Assess equipment to see if they require to be sent out for repair * Recognize and report faults or malfunctions on all company equipment * Coordinate with other maintenance staff and the terminal to determine priorities for equipment repair *What are we looking for:* * An apprentice at any level or willing to enroll in apprenticeship program * High school diploma with minimum of 2 years working experience * Basic set of hand tools required * Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills * Strong work ethic, to work independently and within team * A wide array of knowledge and experience with tools * Familiar with the latest vehicle diagnostic equipment * Experience in preventative maintenance including electrical, interior, air brake, tire, and body maintenance * Valid Class 5 driver's license * Valid Class 1 driver's license considered an asset E-mail us at: operations@rrfs.ca Job Type: Full-time or Part-time Pay: $26-$30 per hour Ability to commute/relocate: * Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person _We thank all applicants, however, only those under consideration will be contacted._ Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour Work Location: In person- LocationWest St. Paul, MB
