The Transformation Office for Global Risk Management (GRM) is responsible for overseeing strategic change across GRM; it will drive cross-functional collaboration, manage organizational change and optimize process to improve overall performance. The Director, Transformation Office will work closely with the VP, Transformation Office to establish the Transformation Program within GRM. This role will also work with senior management, subject matter experts, business line leads and a diverse set of stakeholders to support the design and successful execution of the strategic transformation program. This includes generating insights to deliver strategic recommendations and support execution monitoring, oversight and reporting as the team is stood up. The Director will ensure cross-functional collaboration while managing organizational change, and ensuring items are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, procedures and best practices. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: Support the VP, Transformation Office and work closely with senior management to drive the execution and ongoing management of strategic planning to establish the Transformation Program within Global Risk Management. Act as a trusted partner to the VP, Transformation Office and other Senior Executives, to help define and review priorities, ensuring they are set up to achieve them. Drive cross-functional collaboration to generate insights and deliver strategic recommendations that support the development of the Transformation Program as we build out the team responsible for supporting the execution of transformation initiatives and change management. Articulate strategic vision, plan and progress against plan for various deliverables and audiences, including Scotiabank's Board and Committees and the Bank's Operating Committee members, etc. Manage multiple, interconnected projects often involving multiple internal stakeholders and matrix governance. Design and lead problem solving sessions, workshops, and interviews with cross-functional / business line working team members and subject matter experts Synthesize findings and present clear recommendations and implementation plans to ensure impactful project outcomes. Facilitate coordination between stakeholders to bridge silos and enable alignment across risk stripes, business lines and corporate functions throughout all stages of development and execution; this includes identifying strategic communication opportunities. Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have: Business degree, master's degree and/or MBA 3-4 years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm; banking industry expertise is highly recommended and experience with risk management an asset Experience developing and supporting large-scale, complex programs across multiple stakeholder groups The ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment Exceptional planning and analytical skills, ability to discern research information / data and focus on the critical business issues The ability to effectively manage relationships across the Bank Experience running complex projects, with large group of cross-functional stakeholders Superior interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities and exceptional verbal and written communication skills The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams Collaborative and proven track record of managing and developing high-potential talent Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint What's in it for you?
