Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Accompany students during school and extracurricular activities. Help students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of classroom teacher. Perform other duties assigned by school principal. Supervise students during school and extracurricular activities. Monitor students during recess and lunch hour. Assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting. Assist with classroom inventory. Monitor and report student progress to classroom teacher. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Food allergy and anaphylaxis training. CPR Certificate. Experience with special needs children: Autistic children. Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD). Children with learning disabilities. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Vulnerable sector check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Weight handling: Between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs).
