Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Airline ticket office. Tasks: Calculate cost of travel and accommodations. Recommend suitable products. Investigate new travel areas, hotels and other amenities. Manage difficult situations with customers. Perform general office duties. Sell travel products and travel insurance. Provide customers with travel information and other details such as regulations, duty free allowances, health risks and requirements, attractions and special events. Develop contact lists. Provide travel information to clients regarding destinations, transportation, accommodation options and travel costs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO). Computer and technology knowledge: Amadeus. Sabre. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Client focus. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Team player.
