Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Track and report on current feed inventory . Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Write daily basic progress reports. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system. Farm truck. Automated systems experience: Bulk grain or feed handling - automated. Automated environmental control equipment. Manure handling and storage. Area of specialization: Swine.
