*Overview:* The Mechanic provides technical supervision to equipment operators on batching and three bottling lines and includes providing on the job advice/guidance/direction, training and instructing on the use of new machines and related equipment and also provides feedback to operators and management on production related issues such as breakdowns and also for necessary parts, materials, consumables and tools inventory. The Mechanic will focus and ensure that: Together with the Shift Supervisor, the Mechanic provides technical supervision to machine operators to ensure production has minimal unscheduled downtime. * Provides daily maintenance to production lines to ensure they are always in good working order. * Installs industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans and manufacturer?s specifications; operates lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up and repair machinery. * Fabricates parts for machines or various projects. * Troubleshoots some electronic components. Dismantles, reassembles and aligns complex equipment regarding the fitting of bearings, gear alignment and install motors and belts with minimal deviation from acceptable tolerance as per OEM recommendations and guidance. * Performs preventative maintenance of equipment as per PM schedule. Suggests necessary improvements to PM program to increase uptime and overall productivity. * Actively participates in Continuous Preventive maintenance process to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems. * Identifies and recommends changes to production lines such as labels, caps, bottles and other related materials to reduce reject levels and ensure a good quality product. * Recommends and maintains production machinery and related equipment parts inventory and replacement parts. * Maintain updated daily communication log with other mechanics and management. * It is important to be familiar with and follow GMP and GDP. * Follow all safety protocols and procedures associated with the handling of the equipment and related systems (i.e. LOTO, confined space etc.) * Support the operators with proper adjustments to the machine(s) settings to sustain the desired output, efficiency while ensuring high quality standards of the product. * Provide troubleshooting for equipment issues, to resolve problems. Be conscious to request support from other maintenance tech, a manager, or an external entity (like OEM or shop) when applicable. * Report daily, by writing, any part used and maintain updated the inventory of spare parts. * Wear all the required personal protective equipment (PPE). * Adhere to safety standards while enforcing safe work habits with all team members. * Any other task or activity required to maintain operations, safety and housekeeping as directed by the Supervisor or Manager. *Qualifications* * Proficient in English and possess strong mechanical knowledge * Experience in industrial maintenance and manufacturing processes * Ability to read and interpret schematics * Familiarity with maintenance practices and electrical systems * Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and CMMS * Experience as an industrial electrician, HVAC systems, and welding * Customer service skills and strong analytical abilities * Understanding of low voltage systems Join us in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial facilities while contributing to a safe and efficient workplace!
