*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations and develop strategies to improve financial health and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on manager with a strong accounting and analytical background to manage day-to-day financial tasks, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
*Key Responsibilities*
Financial Planning and Analysis
* Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
* Prepare, analyze, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and recommendations.
* Monitor and manage cash flow and ensure the company meets its financial obligations.
Financial Reporting
* Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial data.
* Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Accounting and Compliance
* Ensure all accounting activities and processes are in line with industry regulations and company policies.
* Manage and supervise bookkeepers, accounts payable, and receivable.
* Oversee internal and external audits and address any discrepancies.
Cost Management and Profitability
* Analyze costs and revenues, providing recommendations to improve profitability.
* Implement and monitor financial controls to reduce unnecessary expenses.
* Identify and assess areas for operational improvement and cost efficiency.
Risk Management
* Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and operational guidelines.
* Work with cross-functional teams to understand and mitigate financial risks across departments.
Leadership and Team Management
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, encouraging a collaborative, high-performance environment.
* Set team objectives, provide performance feedback, and identify development opportunities.
*Qualifications*
Education
* Bachelor?s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; a master?s degree or CPA certification is considered an asset.
Experience:
* 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting
* 2+ years in a managerial role.
Skills:
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
* Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
