Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement. Operate power vibrators to compact concrete. Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification. Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools. Instruct apprentices. Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces. Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Ear plugs. Gloves.
